Supporting Aspirations: Warwick Freeland, Managing Director of IELTS at IDP Education, highlighted that this new offering underscores IELTS' commitment to helping customers achieve their best scores and assisting organizations in attracting the right candidates. He noted that IELTS One Skill Retake enhances fairness by giving test takers the opportunity to retake a single skill if they believe their initial performance did not truly reflect their language proficiency level. This initiative, he added, reinforces their dedication to helping test takers reach their full potential.

Enhanced Flexibility: Piyush Kumar, Regional Director - South Asia and Mauritius, IDP Education, emphasized that the launch of IELTS One Skill Retake provides test takers with an excellent opportunity to fulfill their study and migration objectives. He highlighted that IELTS had listened to test takers' feedback, allowing them to retake one skill of the IELTS test if they fell short of their target score on test day. IELTS One Skill Retake, available for both Academic and General IELTS, offers Indian test takers a new option and increased flexibility as they pursue their plans. This feature is currently accessible across all 47 IELTS computer centers in the country.

Flexible Score Reporting: Test takers who opt for an IELTS One Skill Retake will receive a second Test Report Form (TRF) containing their new score, which can be used for migration and study purposes. Depending on their score, test takers can choose whether to use their old or new TRF for the skill they retake.

Growing Recognition: It's important to note that the recognition of IELTS One Skill Retake for migration and study purposes is expanding. IELTS is actively collaborating with governments and organizations to secure wider acceptance of this option. Test takers are advised to monitor the official IELTS website for updates as they are announced. This new offering signifies a significant step forward in providing test takers with the flexibility and support they need to achieve their language proficiency goals.
