Employment News-Four-year dual degree education course from next session, admission will be available from NCET, notification issuedImportant news for the candidates who want to make a career in Teaching. The Union Ministry of Education has released the notification for the 4-year Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP). Under this program, dual degree education courses have been started by the National Council of Teacher Education (NTCE). Starting from the next academic session 2021-22, these courses are designed for three streams of Arts, Science and Commerce – BA B.Ed, B.Sc B.Ed and B.Com B.Ed. These courses can be taken admission in the next academic year from NCTE affiliated institutes.

The notification for Integrated Teacher Education Program was made by the Ministry of Education on Wednesday, 27 October 2021 and on this occasion, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said through social media, “A new era has begun in teacher education. The 4-year ITEP launched by NCTE as per the suggestions of National Education Policy (NEP) will support the development of new generation teachers, who will play a major role in making our youth future-ready and self-reliant. "

Let us tell you that at present, candidates have to do three-year graduation (BA, B.Sc or B.Com) followed by two-year B.Ed. The dual degree education course under ITEP will save one year for the candidates. Students who complete the course will be given a degree of BA B.Ed, B.Sc. B.Ed or B.Com B.Ed. Also, for dual degree education course under ITEP, students will be able to take admission directly after 12th.

Admission through NCET

Along with this, as per the update shared by the ministry, the selection of candidates for admission to four year dual degree education course under ITEP will be done on the basis of National Common Entrance Test (NCET) conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Will be done.
