FMGE June 2024 Registration Process Begins: Detailed Analysis of Exam Pattern and Marking Scheme

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has initiated the registration process for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) June 2024 session. Registration Process:
Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the FMGE June 2024 session until May 20 through the official website of the National Board of Examinations at nbe.edu.in.

Exam Pattern:

• The FMGE exam is conducted via computer in English.
• It consists of 300 multiple-choice questions divided into two parts, with 150 questions each.
• The total duration of the exam is 300 minutes (5 hours), with a scheduled break between the parts.
• Candidates need to score a minimum of 150 marks out of 300 to clear the exam, and no marks are deducted for wrong attempts.

Marking Scheme:

• The marks are divided into Pre and Para Clinical Subjects (100 marks) and Clinical Subjects (200 marks).
• Pre and Para Clinical Subjects include Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, and Forensic Science.
• Clinical Subjects are further divided into Medicine and Allied Subjects, General Surgery and Allied Subjects, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, and Community Medicine.

Application Fee:

• Candidates need to deposit a fee of Rs 6,195 to complete the application process.

Important Dates:

• FMGE 2024 exam date: July 6, 2024.
• Application edit window: May 24 to May 28, 2024, allowing candidates to make changes to their documents or other information except for certain details like Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, Nationality, and Test City.
