First Batch of Punjab Govt School Headmasters Depart for Training at IIM-Ahmedabad

In a momentous event, the first group of school headmasters embarked on their training journey to the prestigious Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expressed his enthusiasm, calling it a "red letter day" in the state's history. This batch's pursuit of knowledge in Ahmedabad follows the return of delegations of school principals who completed their training in Singapore, as mentioned in an official release.

Chief Minister Mann emphasized that the primary objective is to provide students in state government schools with quality education, enabling them to compete with their peers from convent-educated backgrounds. He passionately flagged off the headmasters, drawing a parallel between excellent coaches and their impact on players' performance, suggesting that well-trained teachers would similarly groom students for a successful future.

Asserting the government's commitment to the education sector, Mann assured that there is no lack of funds and every effort will be made to ensure that students receive a high-quality education. He expressed optimism that Punjab would soon emerge as a hub of exemplary education due to the government's strenuous efforts.

Taking a swipe at his predecessors, Mann pointed out that some previous leaders were not accessible to the public after assuming power. In contrast, he pledged his dedication to attend daily events, prioritizing the welfare of every segment of society.

Mann also highlighted his efforts to regularize the services of 12,710 teachers, overcoming legal and administrative challenges. He firmly believes that securing the future of teachers is crucial, as their potential to transform students' destinies is contingent on their own stability and well-being.
