Employment News-In the demand letter submitted to the CM on Tuesday, he said that the government has directed all the departments to make all promotions by August 15, against the possible vacancies by June 30, 2021. The department has already completed the promotion process for the post of Chief Administrative Officer and Senior Administrative Officer on the basis of the report of 2019-20. Due to this there is resentment among the employees who have been denied promotion.

He has again demanded to give the benefit of promotion to all the eligible members by doing DPC to the post of Chief Administrative Officer and Senior Administrative Officer. On the other hand, National Old Pension Restoration Forum has also given a memorandum to the Chief Minister demanding restoration of old pension. He said that from October 1, 2005, new pension system has been implemented in place of old pension system for teachers and employees appointed in Uttarakhand, which is based on stock market. Sensex fell 1687 points and Nifty 509 points due to Omicron virus. Due to this, investors have suffered a loss of 7.54 lakh crores. The pension based on the risky stock market is also against the interests of the new system employees.
