Education Minister Pandey inaugurated bypass construction
The proposed bypass construction work on National Highway 74 was inaugurated by Cabinet Minister and local MLA Arvind Pandey. During this, the minister played Holi along with the workers and locals at the Holi Milan celebrations and congratulated everyone.
In a program organized in Gopalnagar on Sunday, the Education Minister said that the construction work of the proposed bypass road on National Highway 74 is a victory of the mass movement. The beginning of bypass construction has triggered a period of feuding among the Congressmen. Bypass construction and construction of underpasses on the link routes connecting it will be made very soon.
It is said that due to the opponents till today the work of bypass construction remained in the balance for four years, while it should have been completed earlier. A Holi Milan ceremony was organized along with the foundation stone program. Minister Arvind Pandey played Holi with the people in it.
For security, SDM Vivek Prakash, CO Deepshikha Aggarwal and many police stations were deployed. There were former MPs Balraj Passi, Ajay Tiwari, Ajay Kumar, Atul Pandey, Subhash Gumbar, Rajesh Gumbar, Shyam Lal Sukhija, Dharmchand Kheda etc.
Underpass, demand for road construction, Congressmen picket
Gadarpur Congress workers staged a sit-in strike demanding the construction of underpass and road near the site of the bypass construction foundation program organized at village Gopalnagar. They raised slogans against Education Minister Arvind Pandey and a memorandum was also submitted to SDM Vivek Prakash.
On Saturday, in front of the bypass construction program organized on the village Gopalnagar and Balramnagar road, the Congress workers staged a token strike. He called for underpass and road construction. Speakers said that the Chief Minister has announced the Gopalnagar-Balaramnagar road twice but the road has not been constructed yet.
There are many gram sabhas as well as industrial institutes and schools on this road. People have to face problems due to the road being bad. During the protest, SDM Vivek Prakash and CO Deepshikha Aggarwal requested the Congress workers to end the picket but the Congressmen remained on strike. Meanwhile, the Congress workers started shouting slogans against the convoy of Cabinet Minister Arvind Pandey, who was coming to lay the foundation stone for the bypass work.
Seeing this, the police administration swelled up. On this, the police blocked the Congress workers before they went to the minister’s convoy. There were former DCB President Subhash Behar, Zilla Panchayat member Suman Rani, Preet Grover, Siddharth Bhusri, Dr. Shyam Singh, Trilok Makkar, Kishore Haldar, Tek Chand Kamboj etc.
