Education Minister inaugurates Anandam: The Center for Happiness at IIM Jammu, read details

Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ today inaugurated a new center at the Indian Institute of Management, Jammu (IIM Jammu). The center, named Anandam: The Center of Happiness, was inaugurated in virtual mode. In this regard, Press Information Bureau, India (PIB India) has shared information by tweeting with its official tweeter account. In addition, a press release has also been released.

On this occasion, the Union Minister congratulated IIM Jammu for the new venture and defined the need for ‘Anandam: The Center for Happiness’. He said that the inclusion of Happiness in the Academic Curriculum of Students is a very important step towards empowering our nation. This decision will help to take our education system to new heights. He points out that Anandam: Center of Happiness aligns with the National Education Policy 2020, which aims to transform India’s education system by 2021.

The minister said that students and faculty go through stress due to deadlines, syllabus, teaching load and pressures of professional and personal life. This causes depression and anxiety in teachers as well as students. Therefore, this center will help people to overcome mental stress and this will develop positivity. This will encourage and promote holistic development for all stakeholders in IIM Jammu.
