DU Student Dies by Suicide in Hostel Room, Delhi Police Attribute Step to Exam-Related Stress

According to police, a 19-year-old student from Delhi University's Ahilya Bai College of Nursing allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her hostel room due to exam-related stress. The incident reportedly occurred on Saturday and the victim was identified as a second-year BSc Nursing student who was preparing for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).

Although no FIR has been registered yet, college sources revealed that a suicide note was found in the room. A senior police official confirmed that they received information about the incident on April 8 and the door was broken in the presence of the victim's parents and hostel staff. The police also called a crime team from the FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) - Rohini for investigation. The official added that the matter appears to be related to depression.
