DU Played Vital Role in Implementation of NEP 2020: Education Minister Pradhan

During the closing ceremony of Delhi University's centenary celebrations, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan emphasized that Delhi University holds significance not only for Delhi but for the entire nation. He highlighted that the university was the first educational institution to raise its voice against the Emergency in 1975 and has been instrumental in the fight for Independence. Furthermore, he acknowledged the varsity's pivotal role in implementing the National Education Policy.

The event was graced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the chief guest. PM Modi inaugurated three new buildings and unveiled two coffee table books at the University. Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh, addressing the gathering, proudly announced that Delhi University had successfully recruited approximately 2,200 faculty members this year. He credited this achievement to the support and guidance provided by PM Modi. Additionally, he commended the university for producing some of the country's finest businessmen and citizens.
