DU Admissions 2023: Delhi University Receives Over 52,000 Applications on Day 1 of UG Admissions

The University of Delhi (DU) has commenced the admission process for undergraduate (UG) courses in the upcoming academic year. On the initial day of admissions, a remarkable count of 52,790 students applied through the Common Seat Allotment System (CSAS) for the 2023-24 session. The varsity introduced the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal on June 14. The CSAS UG 2023 process comprises several steps, including university application, selection of program and college preferences, and seat allocation with admission.
Here are the steps to apply for Delhi University UG Admission 2023:
Step 1: Visit the official website admissions.uod.ac.in and navigate to the UG admission section.
Step 2: Log in using your CUET UG registration number and password.
Step 3: Complete the CUET UG application form by providing the necessary details and uploading the required documents.
Step 4: Make the payment for the application fee using the available payment options.
Step 5: After submitting the application, click on the submit button.
Step 6: Download the DU admission application form for record-keeping purposes and keep a printed copy for future reference.
Application Fees for Delhi University UG Admission 2023:
To participate in the admission process, students must pay a non-refundable one-time application fee. For UR, OBC-NCL, and EWS categories, the application fee is Rs 250. Students belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs 10. Additionally, applicants for the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program must pay an additional non-refundable fee of Rs 400. For the extra-curricular activities (ECA) and sports supernumerary quota, students need to pay an additional fee of Rs 100 for each quota applied.
Delhi University offers a total of over 71,000 seats across 68 colleges, providing 78 UG programs and 198 BA program combinations. Students must adhere to the instructions provided by the university. It is important to note that all UG admissions will be conducted solely through the CSAS portal. Similar to last year, admission will be granted based on the scores obtained in CUET UG 2023. The first round of allocation-cum-admissions is expected to be announced by DU in the second week of July.
