Delhi MCD Schools Will Be Completely Transformed in Coming Years: Atishi

Schools under the Municipal Corporation of Delhi are set to undergo a comprehensive transformation, according to Education Minister Atishi. The AAP-led civic body is fully committed to offering world-class education to its students. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal firmly believes that providing teachers with exposure to international standards will enable them to deliver the same level of education to the children. To achieve this, MCD school teachers will soon be sent abroad for training.

Recently, a mega Parents Teachers Meet (PTM) was hosted by the schools under the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. During this event, parents actively participated in discussions about their children's learning, performance, and ways to enhance it, as per the statement issued by the Delhi education department. Atishi and Mayor Shelly Oberoi engaged with parents and children at MCD schools, located at DDA Flats Kalkaji and Indira Kalyan Vihar, Okhla.

Atishi expressed that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has made education a top priority, resulting in remarkable improvements in all Delhi government schools. She now aims to bring similar positive changes to MCD schools, fulfilling the chief minister's promise and striving to make them world-class as well. She stressed that the collaborative efforts of teachers and parents are essential for the holistic development of children.

The PTM left parents feeling confident and hopeful about the future of MCD schools, with the belief that they will soon be on par with Delhi government schools, providing high-quality education to their children. Atishi highlighted their ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education in MCD schools and provide essential facilities that were allegedly lacking for 15 years, alluding to the previous Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) governance.

Atishi further asserted that under AAP's leadership in the MCD, positive changes in schools have already become visible within a short span. They are determined to maintain double the effort to completely transform MCD schools in the upcoming years. Atishi envisions a future where long queues will form outside MCD schools for nursery class admissions, indicating the growing popularity of these institutions.

Mayor Oberoi echoed the chief minister's primary vision, which prioritizes providing better education to children and making it a foremost national goal. She emphasized that educated children play a crucial role in the progress of the nation, and an educated society can significantly contribute to India's overall development.
