This initiative aims to provide educational opportunities to deserving students. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to secure admission for your child.
Delhi EWS Admission 2024: Key Dates, Eligibility Criteria, and Registration Process

Registration Process: Parents can register their children for admission starting from April 30, 2024, by visiting the official website edudel.nic.in. Follow these steps to complete the registration process:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Head to edudel.nic.in.
  2. Access the Admission Portal: Click on the Delhi EWS Admission 2024-25 link on the homepage.
  3. Fill the Application Form: Provide all necessary information in the application form.
  4. Submit the Form: After filling the form, submit it online.
  5. Payment: Pay the registration fee through the specified mode.
  6. Download Application Form: Optionally, download and print the application form for your records.

Eligibility Criteria: To qualify for EWS admission, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Child's age must be within the specified range for different classes.
    • Pre-school/Nursery: 3 to 5 years
    • Pre Primary/KG: 3 to 6 years
    • Class 1: 5 to 7 years
  • Permanent residency in Delhi.
  • Family income should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh per annum.

Reservation and Lottery System: As per the guidelines, 25% of seats in private schools are reserved for EWS and Children with Special Needs (CWSN). These seats will be allocated through a computerized lottery system. The draw is scheduled for May 20, 2024.

Required Documents: Ensure you have the following documents ready for the application process:

  • Child’s Birth Certificate
  • Domicile Certificate
  • Ration Card
  • Parents’ ID
  • Income Certificate
