Data feeding of children stuck due to internet shutdown

Employment News

Employment News-Uniforms, shoes, sweaters will not be distributed to the children registered in the schools of the Basic Education Department, but the amount will be given directly through DBT.

A total of 5,67,853 children are registered in the schools of the district, relative to which the data of 1,62,852 children has been verified so far. The frequent shutdown of internet in feeding the remaining data has become a problem for the department. There may be a problem in meeting the target of feeding data by October. However, in the matter of feeding data by teachers, Kheri is at fifth place in the state, while BEO is at third place in verification of data.

Due to the Tikunia incident, internet services were closed several times in the district from October 3 to 9, due to which there is bound to be a delay in getting the money for uniforms, shoes, sweaters etc. to the children. To transfer money to children through DBT, Aadhaar number and account number have to be fed on the DBT Prerna app. A total of 5,67,853 children are registered in the council schools, against which the data of 3,21,838 children have been fed by the teachers so far. Out of these, the data of 1,62,852 children has been verified from BEO level. The department has also engaged technical teams at the block level to complete the work within the stipulated period, which helped in completing the data feeding work using WiFi during internet shutdown.
BSA Dr Laxmikant Pandey said that the target is to complete the data feeding work by October 15, but the work has been delayed due to internet shutdown for several days.
