CUET UG 2023: What is the Required Score in CUET for Admission to Top Universities?

The CUET UG 2023 results have been declared, marking the beginning of the race for college and university admissions. Delhi University has initiated the second phase of registration on the CSAS portal, while other universities are also either starting or about to begin their admissions process. Each university has its own cut-off scores, and students might wonder what score is needed for admission to a reputable institution.

While the cut-off scores for different universities will only be known after the counseling process, historical trends and media reports suggest that competition for admission to Delhi University will be intense. The expected passing marks for BA in political science, history, and Sanskrit for the general category students could range from 400 to 500. Aspiring candidates can register on DU's CSAS portal to participate in the admission process, and the first allotment list is scheduled to be released on August 1. Students are advised to apply for multiple courses to maximize their chances.

Delhi University has around 91 affiliated colleges offering approximately 70,000 seats this year. On the other hand, at Banaras Hindu University, the passing marks for BA honors and BSC biology might be around 170 to 200. For BBA, BA honors in history, and BA honors in Hindi at BR Ambedkar University, Delhi, a score of 120 to 300 could secure admission. In Allahabad University, the passing marks for B.Com, BALB, and BFA courses are expected to be between 400 to 500.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the CUET UG 2023 result on July 15, revealing that over 22,000 candidates achieved 100 percentile scores. Of these, around 5,685 students obtained perfect scores in English, while approximately 4,850 candidates excelled in biology, biochemistry, and biotechnology. Additionally, 2,836 students secured top scores in economics.

This year's admissions process is likely to be highly competitive, and students are encouraged to stay updated with university notifications to make informed decisions regarding their applications.
