CUET UG 2023 Revised Answer Key To Be Posted Over Next Few Days, No Fee For Objections During This Period: UGC Chairman

In a recent update regarding the CUET UG answer keys for 2023, Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar, the Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), took to Twitter to announce that the revised provisional answer key for CUET UG 2023 would soon be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in the coming days. This announcement followed objections raised by students, parents, and teachers regarding the provisional answer key that was initially issued on June 29. It was pointed out that there were numerous errors in the provisional answer key provided by the NTA.
Chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar's tweet stated, "CUET-UG 2023: Although the key challenge period is over, for the next few days, NTA will be posting the corrected provisional keys every night, and candidates can still write to NTA indicating possible errors. During this phase, candidates need not pay any fee. Candidates may please visit the NTA website for details."
According to PTI, UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar mentioned on Saturday that the NTA had been informed about inaccurate responses in certain CUET UG papers, possibly resulting from typographical errors. He encouraged candidates to send their genuine feedback via email to the NTA, assuring them that their feedback would be considered without any fees. Initially, students were required to pay Rs 200 for each answer they wished to challenge in the provisional answer key. However, some students and instructors argued that imposing this charge was unfair. They pointed out that even basic questions in the answer key were answered incorrectly, and therefore, a corrected answer key should be released before allowing objections from candidates.
Umang Sharma, an aspirant, expressed his concerns, saying, "In one of the papers, I found seven answers incorrect, now if I want to challenge them I would need Rs 1,400. I don't have this much money," as reported by PTI. Once all the revised provisional answer keys are issued, candidates will have the option to report any errors to the NTA. It is important for candidates to clearly specify the discrepancies and provide supporting documentation in their communication with the NTA. The NTA will thoroughly investigate all genuine claims and take the necessary corrective measures before releasing the final answer key, which will ultimately determine the results.
