CUET PG 2023: Over Half Of The Registered Candidates Failed To Appear In Exam

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently announced the results for the CUET PG 2023, which can be accessed on their official website cuet.nta.nic.in. To view their results for the Common University Entrance Test - PG, students need to use their application number and password. Surprisingly, more than half of the registered candidates opted not to take the examination this year.
In CUET-PG 2023, the highest number of applicants applied for the MBA (general) course, but unfortunately, the number of students who appeared for the entrance exam was relatively low. A similar trend was observed for the subjects Samveda and Krishna Yajurved, where a significant number of students who registered didn't appear for the exam. However, NTA hasn't provided any specific reasons for this lack of participation in these courses.
Upon successful completion of the CUET PG in 2023, candidates will become eligible to apply for admission to 180 universities, which include Central, state, and private institutions that have adopted CUET-PG for their postgraduate admissions. It's essential to note that NTA states there is no provision for re-evaluation or re-checking of the CUET PG results, and the declared results will be considered final. Therefore, no correspondence regarding result-related queries will be entertained.
This year, there were a total of 4,59,083 unique registered students, with 11 individuals representing the transgender community. Additionally, many students who registered for the CUET PG examination appeared for two subjects.
The CUET PG 2023 was conducted in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode and was attended by more than 8.33 lakh students across 245 cities in India and overseas. While the University Grants Commission (UGC) has mandated the use of CUET for undergraduate admissions in all central universities, its implementation for postgraduate entrance exams is optional. Nonetheless, approximately 180 higher education institutions, including Central, state, and private colleges and universities, have embraced CUET-PG for regulating their postgraduate admissions.
