CUET 2023: UGC asks colleges, universities to reserve facilities for CUET UG Exam starting May 21

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has requested universities across India to reserve their facilities for conducting the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) online. In a letter addressed to vice-chancellors, dated April 3, the UGC asked central and participating universities to prepare for conducting the online examinations. The CUET (UG) exam is scheduled to be held between May 21 and May 23, with the UGC keeping June 1 to June 7 as reserve dates if needed.

The National Testing Agency, in collaboration with the UGC, conducts the online computer-based CUET exam for admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. This year's exam will take place at 240 centres across the country. The deadline to apply for CUET (UG) 2023 was March 30, and the examination centre allocation list will be released on April 30. Admit cards are expected to be available in the second week of May and can be downloaded from the NTA official website, nta.ac.in.

The CUET (UG) 2023 exam consists of objective-type multiple-choice questions and is conducted in 13 languages. The syllabus for CUET (UG) 2023 is divided into three sections. The first section is a language-based test that includes reading comprehension, literary aptitude, and vocabulary. The second section includes questions from the subject chosen by the candidate based on the Class 12 syllabus. The third section comprises general knowledge, current affairs, and reasoning. Candidates must bring their admit cards and self-declaration downloaded from the NTA website to the examination centre, along with an additional photograph and valid photo identification proof.
