The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to release the answer key and response sheet for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) January 2024 exam shortly. Candidates can download the answer key from the official website ctet.nic.in once it becomes available. The exam was conducted on January 21, 2024, in 3,418 test centers across 135 cities in India. The provisional answer key enables candidates to estimate their scores and assess their chances of qualification.

Steps to Download CTET January 2024 Provisional Answer Key:

  1. Visit the official website ctet.nic.in.
  2. Look for and click on the “CTET 2024 provisional answer key” link when activated.
  3. On the new page, enter the application number and date of birth to log in and click submit.
  4. The CTET 2024 provisional answer key will be displayed on the screen.
  5. Check and download the CTET January 2024 answer key.

Candidates dissatisfied with the provisional answer key can raise objections by paying a fee of Rs 1,000 per question. Valid objections will be reviewed by subject experts, and if accepted, the fees for successful challenges will be refunded. The passing marks for the exam are a minimum of 60 percent for general candidates and 55 percent for reserved categories, with one mark awarded for each correct answer and no negative marking for incorrect responses.

CBSE has announced that candidates will receive digital marksheets and eligibility certificates through DigiLocker, featuring an encrypted QR code for security and verification. The initiative aims to promote a 'Green initiative.' Close to 27 lakh candidates were registered for the CTET January examination, with around 9.58 lakh for Paper 1 (Class 1-5) and approximately 17.35 lakh for Paper 2 (Class 6-8).
