Convocation of Open University now in April, no time from Raj Bhavan

The Executive Council meeting has been held for the fourth convocation. In this, seven names were proposed for the chief guest. Pradeep Srivastava, IGNOU Vice Chancellor Prof. Nageshwar Rao is the name of Swami Nikhileshwarananda of Rajkot and Dr. Charan Das Mahant, Speaker of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly from the field of spirituality.

However, the name of the chief guest has not been finalized yet. Registrar Prof. Indu Ananth had earlier issued a letter issuing a notification to propose the convocation in the third week of March. But due to not getting the green signal from the Raj Bhavan, the celebrations will not be held this month. Officials also say that if the date is fixed, an immediate ceremony will take place. Its chances are less this month. In the convocation, around 23 promising June and December sessions will be awarded gold medals.
