CISCE Class 12 All India Topper Riya Aggarwal Receives Offer From Five UK Universities

On May 14, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) announced the results for the ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) exams for the year 2023. The Class 10 board recorded a pass percentage of 98.94%, whereas in Class 12, the pass rate was slightly lower at 96.93%. Girls outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 99.21%. Nine students shared the top rank with 99.80% marks in Class 10, including Shreya Upadhyay, Tanay Sushil Shah, Annanya Karthik, Hiya Sanghavi, Yash Manish Bhasein, Sambit Mukhopadhyay, Avishi Singh, Rushil Kumar, and Advay Sardesai. The first rank in Class 12 was shared by five students who scored 99.75%. Riya Aggarwal, Mohammed Aryaan Tariq, Subham Kumar Agarwal, Ipshita Bhattacharya, and Manya Gupta topped the Class 12 exams.

Riya Aggarwal, a student from Sanskriti-The Gurukul, Assam, not only topped the ISC exams with 99.75% but also received admission offers from five reputed universities in the United Kingdom, including University College London, the London School of Economics, and the University of Manchester. During her free time, Riya participated in debates and competitions at school and founded an organization named "Girlup Art Story," a United Nations (UN) movement that supports girls' rights and women's empowerment. Riya plans to study B.Sc Politics and Economics at the London School of Economics, as it has been her dream career.
