Chandigarh Director School Education Rubinderjit Singh Brar has once again come corona positive. His corona positive report came on Friday morning at 9.30 am. After this, the exercise of calling 50 percent of the staff in his office Sector-9 has started. It is noteworthy that Rubinderjit Singh Brar was also corona infected in September-October 2020, in which he returned to work after 20 days.

In view of the increasing case of corona infection, the administration had issued instructions to call 50 percent of the staff in all government offices by 31 May. After this, a meeting of top officials of the administration was held on May 1, in which it was agreed to call the staff completely. From June 2, the entire staff of the director’s office was coming to the office. As soon as the information about the director coming to Corona positive was released on June 4, then the roster has started preparing to call 50 percent of the staff from June 7.

Got one year extension a week ago

 

Nearly six years have been completed by serving Rubinderjit Singh Brar as the Director of the Education Department. From August 2021, his term has been extended once again for one year by giving an extension. Notably, Rubinderjit Singh Brar is the first PCS officer to hold the same post for seven years. According to the rules of Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), any PCS and HAS officer comes to Chandigarh for three years. The officer gets an extension of one to two years only when necessary. 

 Rubinderjit Singh Brar is the first officer to be given a seven-year term in violation of the CVC norms.
