CGBSE Results 2023: Naxalite couple's daughter clears Class 10 board exam, aspires to become doctor

An extraordinary achievement shines through the shadows of violence for an 18-year-old girl hailing from the Abhujmad area of Chhattisgarh's Narayanpur district. Despite both her parents actively involved in the Naxalite movement, she has cleared the Class 10 examination conducted by the Chattisgarh state board with an impressive score of 54.5 percent. This remarkable young girl, displaying unwavering determination and a focused mindset, resided far away from her parents while devoting herself to her studies.

According to a report by Times Now, she expressed her elation, saying, "I am thrilled to have passed my Class 10 exams and aspire to become a doctor to serve the people of my village." Her ambition is to pursue a career in medicine and dedicate herself to serving the tribal community in her native district. Her educational journey began at the Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda VidyaMandir in Kutul village, Narayanpur. For Classes 6 to 8, she moved to a school in Narayanpur town. Despite facing circumstances that interrupted her studies, her determination remained unshaken. After a brief hiatus, she resumed her education by staying with a relative, demonstrating her resilience.

Attending school involved a 2km walk for the teenager, highlighting her unwavering commitment to education. Her younger brother is currently enrolled in Class 9 at the Ramakrishna Mission Ashram School in Akabeda village. Although she is overjoyed by her results, she faces challenges in obtaining her tribal certificate. She emphasizes that possessing the Schedule Tribe certificate will assist her in realizing her dream of pursuing higher education with the aid of government schemes.

The girl's father serves as a commander in a Maoist group in the Akabeda and Kutul areas of Abhujmad, while her mother is a former Naxalite who previously collaborated with them in Narayanpur. Both parents reportedly carry a cash reward on their heads. The Abhujmad region is known for its dense forests and hilly terrain, providing a secure hideout for senior Naxalites and a suitable location for organizing training camps for their cadres. However, positive transformations have been observed in the area in recent years.

Narayanpur Collector AjeetVasant has issued instructions to local officials to extend all possible assistance to the young student in obtaining the necessary documents. He affirmed, "The girl will receive the benefits of all government schemes related to education provided to people belonging to specially protected tribes. If she requires further assistance, we will support her." The collector has directed the local Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) to facilitate the required certificates by obtaining the necessary proposal from the gram sabha, ensuring the student's access to all the essential documentation.
