CBSE Asks Schools to Compile List of Candidates for Board Exams 2024

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently issued a notification directing all schools affiliated with CBSE to collect and organize the necessary information for the online enrollment of students in Classes 9 and 11 for the upcoming academic year 2023-24. Additionally, the board has appealed to CBSE-affiliated schools to compile the essential details for submitting the List of Candidates (LOC) for the registration process of Classes 10 and 12 in the academic session 2023-24.
The official notice states, "CBSE will soon initiate the online registration process for students in Classes 9 and 11 and the submission of the List of Candidates (LoC) for Classes 10 and 12 for the academic year 2023-24." Therefore, all schools are strongly advised to promptly complete the registration and LOC-related procedures. This will ensure that schools are well-prepared to carry out these activities accurately and within the designated timeframe, as emphasized in the notice.
Reports indicate that the board had preemptively informed schools about the upcoming registration and LOC submission for the board exams in 2024. Following the procedure from the previous year, students will complete their registration using the Pariksha Sangam link on the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in.
CBSE has issued these guidelines due to instances of schools failing to register or input candidate data into the LOC in a timely manner. The board has also requested flexibility in accepting student registrations beyond the stipulated deadline. Furthermore, schools have been explicitly instructed to gather precise information about students and the subjects they intend to pursue. This measure aims to prevent inconvenience to both the schools and the students themselves.
Concurrently, CBSE has activated the portal for applying to verify marks for the Class 10 compartment exams. The board declared the results for the 10th compartment exams on August 4th. Students dissatisfied with their scores have the option to request a marks verification through cbse.gov.in. The facility will be open for applications until 11:59 pm on August 8th. For each subject paper, students applying for marks verification are required to submit a fee of Rs 500.
