CBI Summons West Bengal Principal Secretary Again In Recruitment Scam Probe

The principal secretary of the West Bengal school education department has been summoned by the CBI in relation to the ongoing investigation into irregularities in state government job recruitment, according to an official from the probe body. Manish Jain has been requested to appear at the CBI's city office on Thursday morning. His name came up during the questioning of former state minister Partha Chatterjee, who has been arrested. This will be Jain's second appearance before the CBI regarding the same case.
Manish Jain has been asked to present himself at our office tomorrow for questioning regarding the ongoing investigation into the recruitment scam. Our officers have prepared a set of questions for him, stated the CBI official. There is substantial evidence suggesting that Jain was aware of the irregularities in the recruitment process. He will be specifically probed about his involvement, as there are numerous files with his signatures, indicating his knowledge of the recruitment irregularities, added the official. During his previous appearance at the CBI office last year, Jain was summoned and interrogated for over five hours.
