- Registration Start Date: August 1, 2024
- Application Deadline: September 13, 2024
- Admit Card Release: November 5 to November 24, 2024
- CAT 2024 Exam Date: November 24, 2024
- Result Announcement: Second week of January 2025
How to Apply for CAT 2024
Follow these steps to successfully apply for CAT 2024:
- Visit the Official Website: Go to iimcat.ac.in.
- New Candidate Registration: Click on the “New Candidate Registration” link.
- Register: Enter the necessary details to create an account.
- Log In: Use your credentials to log in and complete your profile with academic and personal information.
- Choose IIMs and Programmes: Select your preferred IIMs and programs.
- Select Exam Cities: Choose up to five exam cities in any sequence.
- Upload Documents and Pay Fee: Upload required documents and pay the application fee.
- Submit Application: Review your application and submit it.
- Download Confirmation: Save the application confirmation page for future reference.
CAT 2024: Educational Qualification
To be eligible for CAT 2024, applicants must meet the following educational criteria:
- General Category: Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- ST/SC/PwD Category: Bachelor’s degree with at least 45% marks or equivalent CGPA.

- General Category (including EWS): ₹2,500
- SC/ST/PwD: ₹1,250
CAT 2024: Exam Process
- Exam Mode: Computer-based
- Exam Sessions: Three shifts
- Shift 1: 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM
- Shift 2: 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
- Shift 3: 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
- Exam Sections:
- Quantitative Aptitude (QA)
- Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)
- Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)
- Number of Questions: 66
- Scoring Pattern: +3 for each correct answer; -1 for each incorrect answer. No negative marking for unanswered questions.
