BSE Odisha 10th HSC Result 2023: Odisha Matric result at 10 am on orissaresults.nic.in
The Odisha Board of Secondary Education (BSE) is set to announce the Odisha Board Class 10 results for 2023 today, May 18. Approximately 5,85,730 students who appeared for the matric exams in the state will be able to check their results. The Class 10 examinations were conducted from March 10 to March 17, 2023.
After the results are declared, students can access the provisional online mark sheet for the BSE Odisha 10th result. However, it is essential for them to collect the official mark sheet from their respective schools. To check their matric results, candidates can visit the official websites such as bseodisha.ac.in, orissaresults.nic.in, and bseodisha.nic.in.
Once the results are made public, students will receive information about the total number of students who passed, the passing percentage, and the list of top rankers. In order to pass the Odisha Board exam, candidates must obtain a minimum of 33 percent in all subjects. Those who fail to meet this requirement will be required to take supplementary examinations.
In the previous year's Class 10 examination, the overall passing rate was 90.55 percent, with a total of 5,85,730 students taking the exam. This pass percentage is lower compared to the 97.89 percent recorded in 2021. Among the students who passed, girls performed better than boys, with 92.37 percent of girls successfully clearing the exams. Additionally, more than 8000 students achieved A1 grades or scored above 90 percent marks.
It is worth noting that the evaluation process last year involved three methods. The first method considered scores from Summative Assessment-I and Internal Assessment. The second method took into account marks obtained in Summative Assessment-II and internal assessment. The third method involved evaluating students by assigning 20 percent weightage to internal assessment, 30 percent to Summative Assessment-I, and 50 percent to Summative Assessment-II. Final marks were determined based on the highest scores obtained using any of these three methods.
