Bihar Teachers Recruitment 2023: BPSC Releases Exam Dates And Guidelines

The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has issued a notification for the recruitment of teachers in the state through its official website. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1,70,461 positions for primary, secondary, and higher secondary teachers. The application process began on June 15 and will end on July 19. The examination will take place in multiple phases from August 24 to 27.
Recently, a significant meeting was conducted in Bihar with the state Chief Secretary Aamir Subahni and other high-ranking officials, including BPSC President Atul Prasad, Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department BK Rajender, Additional Director General and Special Secretary of Home KS Anupam, along with all District Magistrates and Senior Superintendents of Police. During the meeting, essential guidelines were issued regarding the exam dates, issuance of admit cards, and the conduct of the examination.
The BPSC President announced that the examination will be held on August 24, 25, 26, and 27. It will be an offline mode exam with a duration of two hours. Candidates will be allowed to enter the exam centers two and a half hours before the test begins, and the entry will be closed one hour prior to the exam. The question papers will be provided one hour before the test by the Zonal Magistrate in a digitally locked box. The code to unlock the box will be given two days before the examination date. The question paper packets will be opened directly in front of the candidates, and after the test, the OMR sheets will be shielded in front of the examinees to prevent tampering.
Separate examination centers will be designated for female and male candidates, and in case of a flood situation, the exam will be conducted in two shifts, with the first shift for male candidates and the second shift for female candidates. Admit cards will be released by BPSC 10 days before the examination date, containing crucial information such as the candidate's name, photograph, signature, registration number, exam center details, and exam date and time.
As for the eligibility criteria, candidates applying for primary school teachers should be between 18 to 37 years old, while for secondary and higher secondary school teachers, the age limit is between 21 to 37 years. The application fee is Rs 750 for candidates belonging to the general category and Rs 200 for candidates from scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, females, and persons with disabilities.
