Students now have the option of a five-year Integrated programme alongside degrees in Commerce, Arts, or Science, condensing the duration and offering comprehensive legal education covering Civil Law, Tax Law, Criminal Law, International Law, Cyberlaw, among others.

Admission into Law colleges requires qualifying entrance exams such as CLAT, AILET, SLAT, and LSAT, with CLAT being conducted by a consortium of 24 National Law Universities. Some prominent participating universities include NLSIU Bangalore, NALSAR Hyderabad, NLIU Bhopal, WBNUJS Kolkata, NLUJ Jodhpur, and HNLU Raipur.

AILET, organized by the National Law University Delhi, is another prestigious exam. Institutions like XIM University, The NorthCap University, Alliance University, Army Institute of Law, and Ansal University accept AILET scores. The selection criteria for these exams are similar, focusing on English Language, Current Affairs, G.K., Logical Reasoning, and Legal Reasoning, with variations in question numbers.
