Basic Education Department will give DBT money in September, Prerna DBT app will be launched

Employment News-Basic Education Department will launch Prerna DBT app for free uniforms, sweaters, school bags and shoe-stockings in the schools of Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council. Preparations have been intensified for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to send the first phase amount to the parents' account in September itself. An amount of Rs 1056 will be given through DBT.

1.79 crore students are registered in primary and junior schools in the state. Divisional Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar has issued an order saying that the department will enter into an agreement with Shritan India Limited for DBT. Because Shritan India is authorized for Aadhaar authentication from UIDAI portal. At the same time, the department will also tie up with UP Desco, which will integrate with database, dashboard and PFMS portal for operation of Prerna portal and app. Time is short, so preparations should be speeded up.

Meanwhile, the registration of students of all government and aided schools will be compulsorily done on the Prerna portal. A photocopy of the bank passbook of their parent or guardian will be compulsorily obtained. This account should be linked with Aadhaar. Aadhar number of parents is mandatory for DBT, Aadhaar number of children will not be mandatory. All Block Education Officers have to ensure that the data is 100% correct. Without Aadhaar, funds cannot be sent to accounts. This amount will be transferred through PFMS portal. Training will also be given for operating the mobile app.
