The CM said that the new future of the children will be built with the help of NEP. This will give them everything which is necessary for their overall development. On this occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Directorate of Elementary Education building and also laid the foundation stone of SCERT building. He released a book and career card for the development of entrepreneurship among children, as well as announced the repair of dilapidated Anganwadi centers in the area.


The Chief Minister said that the National Education Policy-2020 is a new revolutionary change in the field of education in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This education policy will create a bright future for the youth. This policy has been formulated in the light of the rich tradition of Indian Sanatan knowledge and thought, which lays special emphasis on the development of the creative abilities inherent in every individual. He said that teachers play an important role in the personality formation of the students. Children first get the values ​​from the parents, after that the teachers have a full role in the formation of their personality. The Chief Minister said that a target has been set to fully implement the National Education Policy-2020 in the state by 2030.

It is expected from the Education Department that by 2025, the department should do some such work in the field of education, which should be presented as an example in the country. He said that all the departments have been given a target that in 2025, when Uttarakhand will celebrate the silver jubilee of the state foundation day, all the departments will show some of their special achievements on the ground. The Chief Minister said that the state government is moving ahead with a no-choice determination to make Uttarakhand a leading state in the country.

Earlier, the Chief Minister handed over the book 'Modi @ 20: Dreams Meet Delivery' based on the political life of PM Narendra Modi to Director General Education Banshidhar Tiwari, Additional Secretary Deepti Singh, Director Secondary RK Kunwar, Director Basic Vandana Garbyal. MLA Umesh Sharma Kau, Director General Education Banshidhar Tiwari, Additional Secretary Education Deepti Singh, Director Secondary Education RK Kunwar, Director Academic Research and Training Seema Jaunsari, Director Elementary Education Vandana Garbyal etc. were present in the program.

Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat informed that 4447 Anganwadi centers are running in the primary school premises of the state. In these centers, students will be prepared for class one by starting classes from pre-primary. Pre-primary has been named Bal Vatika by the Education Department. A separate syllabus has been prepared for this by the department.

There are more than 20 thousand Anganwadi centers
20 thousand 67 Anganwadi centers are approved in Uttarakhand. Out of this, 20 thousand 17 Anganwadi centers are being operated. 14555 Anganwadi workers are posted in these centres. Apart from this, 14249 assistants and 4941 mini Anganwadi workers are appointed in Anganwadi centers.
