Employment News-The University Grants Commission of India (UGC India) has issued a notice advising people to be careful while choosing universities for higher education abroad. UGC Chairman Jagdish Kumar recently told ANI that students should be a little tactful while choosing foreign educational institutions as students faced difficulties in returning abroad during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jagdish Kumar while talking to ANI said that we issue notice to the students to be careful while taking admission abroad. Recently we saw that due to Corona pandemic, students had to face a lot of difficulties to complete their studies. He could not go back to China to study. The UGC addressed the issue of students who go abroad to study in inferior institutions and face the problems of degree parity.

The problem of degree parity brings restrictions in the careers of the students while choosing them for their further studies. Jagdish Kumar said that the other major issue is that when students go to foreign countries and study in lesser-class institutions, there will come the issue of equality of degrees which may create problem for the students to continue their higher education. Or they may not be able to get employment. Talking about the students returning to Ukraine, the UGC President said, “We have also seen how 18,000 students were airlifted from Ukraine recently. We have issued a public notice to advise the students to be careful.
