Employment News-The Directorate of Education (DOE) has asked all schools in the national capital to plant at least 1.5 lakh saplings through their eco-club members during the academic session 2022-23. Giving information, the officials said that the DoE has also asked the headmasters and staff of all the schools to take part in this campaign and take care of the plants regularly along with the students.

In a letter sent to the schools, the DoE said, "1.5 lakh saplings, which include 40,000 trees and 1.1 lakh bushes, should be planted during the academic session 2022-23 through eco-club members in all schools in Delhi." The letter said, “The target of 50 percent tree plantation in open spaces by all schools should be achieved by August 15. The headmasters of all the schools can take saplings free of cost from any nursery run by the forest department.

100 plants target in this session
The Directorate of Education has also set a target of planting at least one hundred saplings for each school in the current session. Actually, the aim of the Directorate of Education (DOE) is that all the schools in the national capital should be filled with greenery. Students studying here should be aware of the environment. For this also this program has been approved by the government.
