New Education Policy: National Education Policy completes two years, UGC e-resource portal will be launched

Employment News- Now students will also be able to do digital courses of higher education in the Common Service Centers built in Panchayats across the country. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has prepared a plan to connect the last students of rural and remote areas to higher education through digital medium sitting at home. To implement this, the UGC has taken cooperation from the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

This e-content portal will be launched on Friday, July 29, on the occasion of completion of two years of the implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The special thing is that it includes 23 thousand postgraduate courses, 137 self-silent courses. At the same time, for the first time, students will get a chance to study 25 non-engineering courses in eight Indian languages.

Actually, the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced digital education in the Union Budget 2022-23. Under this, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has prepared the scheme. In this, the UGC will add its complete digital content from the Common Service Center and Special Purpose Vehicle Center of the Panchayats. In this, the student can do his course and studies by paying a fee of 20 rupees per day or five hundred rupees per month.

These 25 courses will be translated into eight Indian languages.
Academic Writing, Artificial Intelligence, Communication Technologies in Education, Corporate Law, Corporate Tax Planning, City and Metropolitan Planning, Cyber ​​Security, Digital Library, Direct Tax-Law and Practice, Early Childhood Care and Education, Food Microbiology and Food Safety, Functional Food And nutraceuticals, Human Rights in India, Organic Chemistry, Research Mathology, Animation, 25 courses have been translated into Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada languages. Till now these courses were available only in English language.
Lakhs of students will get quality education digitally sitting at home
UGC e-resource portal will be launched on the occasion of completion of two years of National Education Policy. Lakhs of students from remote and rural areas will now be able to study these courses along with their graduation and post-graduation from home. Till now these courses could be taught only in English language, but 25 of these courses have been translated into eight Indian languages. Gradually other courses will also be translated into Indian languages. Common Service Centers will no longer be limited only to government schemes, but students will also be able to pursue their higher education here.
