New Education Policy: Five-year BA-BSc and MA-MSc integrated course will start

Employment News- Allahabad University will give a new dimension to the new education policy. Under this, the five-year Integrated Disaster Management in Environmental Studies course will be started in the academic session 2023-24. The course has been designed for this. Under this, admission will be given in first, second and fourth year. A student doing two years BA with Geography subject will get direct admission in the second year. The more the student studies, the more degree he will get. In the first year, admission will be given against 60 seats in this course. The entrance test will be conducted by Allahabad University itself. The conduct of the course has been approved by the Academic Council.

The five year integrated course Disaster Management in Environmental Studies will be conducted under the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences.

Five-year Integrated Course in Disaster Management and Environmental Studies, 12th pass or Intermediate Geography students from Science stream will get admission in the first year. In the first year, students get Certificate in Disaster Management and Environmental Studies, in the second year, Diploma in Disaster Management and Environmental Studies, in the third year BA-BSc in Disaster Management and Environmental Studies, in the fourth year BA-BAC Honors in Disaster Management and Environmental Studies, The degree of MA-MSc in Disaster Management and Environmental Studies will be awarded in the fifth year. However, students who have passed BA Geography and B.Sc in Disaster Management and Environmental Studies will get direct admission in the fourth year.

Allahabad University PRO Dr. Jaya Kapoor said, 'The Department of Environment and Geography will jointly conduct the five-year BA/BSc and MA/MSc Integrated Course in Disaster Management and Environment. This course has been designed keeping in mind the challenges of the present circumstances and the geographical concerns of environmental protection.

There will be admission in Yoga and Meditation on 50 seats
The five-year Integrated BA-BSc and MA-MSc in Yoga and Meditation course in the IVIV will be admitted in the academic session 2023-24. In the first year, there will be admission against 50 seats. For this, the entrance examination will be conducted by the university itself. Subjects from the Department of Philosophy, Sanskrit, Psychology, CBCS Physical Education, Home Science have been included in the course. Certificate in the first year, Diploma in the second year, Degree in the third year, Honors in the fourth year and BA-BSc and MA-MSc in Yoga and Meditation in the fifth year.
