Instructions to provide first aid facility and rest rooms in Himachal schools

Employment News-Instructions have been issued to provide first aid facility and rest rooms in all private and government schools of Himachal Pradesh. On the complaint of a parent of the capital Shimla, the Directorate of Higher Education has issued a letter to all the district deputy directors in this regard on Wednesday. A city parent wrote a letter to the Governor and the Chief Justice raising the issue of non-availability of proper first aid facilities in schools to children who are sick or injured.

A letter was sent by Raj Bhavan to the Principal Secretary Education in this regard. Taking cognizance of this letter, Director of Higher Education Dr. Amarjeet Kumar Sharma has issued a letter to all the District Deputy Directors asking them to make arrangements for First Aid facilities. Rest rooms have also been asked to be built in schools for the convenience of children who are sick or injured. Deputy directors have also been asked to conduct surprise inspections of schools and check the system. The director said that action will be taken against the school in-charges who do not follow the orders as per rules.
