8386 physical education instructors will be appointed in schools, approval for post creation from Bihar cabinet

Employment News-8386 physical education and health instructors will be appointed in state-run elementary schools of the state. They will get a fixed salary of Rs 8,000 every month, which will increase by Rs 200 annually. Its approval was given in a meeting of the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday. A total of 21 agendas were agreed in the meeting.
Sanjay Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary, Cabinet Department said that under the provision contained in the Children's Free and Compulsory Education Act-2009, a total of 8386 posts of physical education and health instructors were created immediately in 8386 state-run elementary schools of the state. Approval has been given.
Here, Education Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary said that if the Panchayat elections do not become a hindrance, then the process of appointment of physical education and health instructors can be started next month. The Education Department is determined to complete this recruitment process. He has thanked the Chief Minister that he approved this proposal in the cabinet.
He said that the total created posts of physical and health instructors are 8386, while the number of STET pass candidates is only 3750. In such a situation, there is a possibility that almost all the STET passed candidates will get selected. However, the reservation roster will play an important role in this.
Appointment will be done like normal teachers
According to the information, this appointment of physical education and health instructors will be done through municipal bodies and panchayats like the appointment of general teachers. It is noteworthy that a total of 6,199 candidates had appeared in the Physical Education and Health Instructor Eligibility Test-2019, out of which a total of 3,508 candidates passed.
