500 Teachers of Rajasthan Govt Colleges to Get Trained in Foreign, National Institutions

An official statement released on Sunday announced that 500 teachers from government-run colleges and polytechnic colleges in Rajasthan will now have the opportunity to undergo training courses in prestigious institutions both in India and abroad. The statement emphasized that the selected teachers will have the chance to explore new technologies and innovations that can enhance their teaching methods. The proposal for the "Teacher Interface for Excellence" (TIE) program, facilitating this initiative, has been approved by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

For the financial year 2023-24, a budget of Rs 23.50 crore will be allocated to research and training facilities under the TIE program. The release mentioned that guidelines for the program will be issued soon. Furthermore, the TIE program allows teachers to receive training in renowned foreign institutions ranked 1 to 100 by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) as well as national institutions ranked 1 to 100 by NIRF (National Institute Ranking Framework).

The statement expressed that this program will enable teachers to acquaint themselves with exceptional educational policies and programs, fostering quality teaching and research in higher education within the state. Consequently, this initiative is expected to enhance the quality of education and research in Rajasthan's higher educational institutions and bolster their performance in assessments conducted by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The government clarified that the training programs offered through TIE will have a duration ranging from 1 to 6 months.
