Sisodia said, Delhi Board for School Education is an important step towards ensuring high quality education in Delhi. Our work in Delhi in the last 6 years has changed the perception of government schools in India. However, we know that the real work begins now. Now there should be 360 degree assessment, where we will be able to assess a student's knowledge, vision and skills as a whole.

The Deputy Chief Minister said, the Delhi Board of School Education has three objectives. First, the board will serve to eliminate the rote learning method. This board will develop the skills of the future like critical thinking, creativity, 21st century skills by going beyond the academic potential of every student. Second, the board will insist on continuous formative assessment. The main objective of setting up the Board is to make the evaluation system a 'Partner of Learning' and not an 'Authority of Testing'. And third, we want to inculcate a growth mindset among the students, which will be ensured by being a part of regular assessment. Sisodia said, the Happiness Curriculum, Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum and Patriotic Curriculum launched by us have developed a healthy mindset among the students. He said that at the end of formal education of children we only evaluate their subject based knowledge, but at that time we should also make sure whether the student has continuous new learning and any problem solving approach before leaving school. mentality has developed or not.

The Deputy Chief Minister said, the board will empower the teachers to achieve their full potential, while also providing them with feedback, so that they can help every child in their class to learn. He said that the present assessment style gives very less opportunity to the teachers to change it according to the needs of the students. The board, with a more personalized and continuous form of evaluation, will give teachers more effective input on how they can help students overcome the difficulties they face in class. Artificial intelligence, game-based assessment will be used to create a system where each student will be regularly assessed on the basis of their ability.

The Delhi Cabinet had approved the establishment of the Delhi Board of School Education on 6 March 2021, following which the Society for the Board was registered on 19 March 2021. This board is expected to start in the next session. Initially, 20 to 25 government schools will be taken under this.
