West Bengal Police has issued a notification for the recruitment of Sub-Inspector, Sub-Inspectress, and Sergeant vacancies. Candidates interested in the vacancy details and who have fulfilled all eligibility criteria can read the Notification and Apply Online.

Application Fee:

• For All Categories (WB Candidates): Rs.270/- (Application fee Rs. 250/- + Processing fee Rs. 20/-)
• For SC/ST candidates: Rs.20/- (Application fee – NIL + Processing fee Rs. 20/-)
• Payment Mode (Online): By using Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking
• No Exemption of fees is available to the SC/ST candidates of Other States

Important Dates:

• Starting Date for Apply Online & Payment of fee: 01-09-2023 (00:01 hrs)
• Last Date for Apply Online: 21-09-2023 (till 23:59 hrs)
• Date of Correction of Editing Window: 24-09-2023 (00:01 hrs.) to 30-09-2023 (till 23:59 hrs)
• Date of Preliminary Examination: 28-01-2024
• Date for Downloading of Preliminary Admit Card: 18-01-2024

Age Limit (as on 01-01-2023):

• Minimum Age Limit: 20 Years
• Maximum Age Limit: 27 Years
• Age relaxation is admissible as per rules.

Eligibility Details:

Sub-Inspector of Police:

• Candidates of all categories (Except Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbanshis & ST): 167 cm Height (Barefoot), 56 kg Weight, 79 cm Chest (without expansion), 84 cm Chest (with expansion – 5 cm)
• Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis, and Scheduled Tribes: 160 cm Height (Barefoot), 52 kg Weight, 76 cm Chest (without expansion), 81 cm Chest (with expansion – 5 cm)

Sub Inspectress:

• Candidates of all categories: 160 cm Height (Barefoot), 49 kg Weight
• Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis, and Scheduled Tribes: 155 cm Height (Barefoot), 45 kg Weight

Sergeant:

• Candidates of all categories (Except Gorkhas, Garwalies, Rajbanshis & ST): 173 cm Height (Barefoot), 60 kg Weight, 86 cm Chest (without expansion), 91 cm Chest (with expansion – 5 cm)
• Gorkhas, Garhwalies, Rajbanshis, and Scheduled Tribes: 163 cm Height (Barefoot), 54 kg Weight, 81 cm Chest (without expansion), 86 cm Chest (with expansion – 5 cm)

Qualification:

• Candidates should possess Any Bachelor’s Degree Examination in any discipline.
