The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the provisional answer key for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2024. How to Download the NCET 2024 Provisional Answer Key:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to ncet.smarth.ac.in.
  2. Log In: Click on the Login tab on the homepage.
  3. Enter Details: Provide your login details and click on Submit.
  4. View Answer Key: Click on the link that says ‘View/Challenge Answer Key’.
  5. Download: The provisional answer key will be displayed. Download it to compare your answers and estimate your score.

Challenge the Answer Key:

  • Deadline: Today, July 31
  • Fee: Rs 200 per question
  • Process: Raise a challenge by submitting a non-refundable processing fee along with supportive documents if you find discrepancies.

Exam Details:

  • Exam Date: June 12, 2024
  • Mode: Computer-Based Test (CBT)
  • Languages: 13 (including English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Urdu)
  • Total Questions: 181 (Candidates must attempt at least 160)
  • Scoring: 1 mark for each correct answer, no negative marking for incorrect answers.

Minimum Passing Marks:

  • General Category: 50%
  • Reserved Category: 45%

Purpose of NCET:

NCET is conducted for admission to the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) in selected Central/State Universities/Institutions including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges.
