UKPSC Recruitment 2025: The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) is currently accepting applications for 692 Principal roles in government schools and intercolleges throughout the state. Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility Required for Application
For the position of Principal/Headmistress, candidates must be permanently appointed in Uttarakhand government schools and intercolleges, having completed continuous service as of the first day of the recruitment year. Male Principals need a minimum of 22 years of satisfactory service, while female Principals require at least 2 years. Educational and training qualifications as specified in Rule 8 are also necessary.


Lecturers in Government Intermediate Colleges and Girls Intermediate Colleges who have at least 10 years of continuous satisfactory service as of the first day of the recruitment year and meet the educational/training qualifications as per Rule 8 are eligible for the departmental examination. Those with 15 years of service, including time as an Assistant Teacher/Teacher (LT), may also apply.


Assistant Teachers/Teachers (LT) in Government Higher Secondary Schools and Intermediate Colleges with a minimum of 15 years of continuous satisfactory service in their position and who meet the educational/training qualifications as per the rules can also take the departmental examination. Proof of service must be provided by the relevant appointing authority.


Age Limit and Salary Details

Age Limit Requirements
The upper age limit for applicants is set at 55 years, calculated as of July 1, 2025. Therefore, candidates must not have been born before July 2, 1970. Age relaxation will be applicable for candidates from reserved categories.


Salary:
The selected candidates will receive a salary according to Pay Level-12, which ranges from ₹78,800 to ₹2,09,200. This pay scale includes regular grade pay and other allowances as per government recruitment regulations. The initial salary will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
