Eligibility Requirements

Eligibility Criteria for Application


Applicants must be Indian citizens and hold at least a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution, which should be completed by August 1, 2025.


The age limit for candidates in the unreserved category ranges from 20 to 37 years, with age relaxation applicable for those in reserved categories as per government guidelines. Eligible candidates can proceed to apply online.


Examination Structure

Preliminary and Main Exam Pattern


All applicants who submit valid applications will need to take a written examination, which consists of two stages: a preliminary exam and a main exam. The preliminary exam will be worth 200 marks, comprising 100 questions to be completed in two hours, focusing on general knowledge and current affairs. Candidates scoring below 30% will be disqualified from the main examination. From the successful candidates, 20 times the number of vacancies will be selected for the main exam.


The main examination will include two papers: the first paper will be General Hindi, requiring a minimum score of 30%, while the second paper will cover General Studies, Science, History, Geography, Mathematics, and Mental Ability. Incorrect answers will incur a penalty of 0.2 marks per question. Based on the main examination results, six times the number of vacancies will be chosen for the physical examination, which is mandatory to pass.


Physical Efficiency Test Details

The physical examination consists of two components. The first is the Physical Standard Test (PST), which assesses height, chest (expanded and unexpanded), and weight. Male candidates must have a minimum height of 165 cm and a chest girth of 81-86 cm, while female candidates must be at least 155 cm tall, with no chest measurement requirement.


The second component is the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which evaluates physical endurance through running, jumping, and shot put. Male candidates are required to complete a 1.6 km run, a 4 ft high jump, a 12 ft long jump, a 16-pound shot put, and a 16 ft ball throw within 6 minutes and 30 seconds. Female candidates must complete a 1 km run, a 3 ft high jump, a 9 ft long jump, a 12-pound shot put, and a 10 ft ball throw in the same time frame.
