The Uttar Pradesh government has declared a special leave period from July 2 to July 4 for around 186,000 in-service teachers who will be taking the UP Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026. This initiative aims to support teachers in their exam preparations.

Purpose of the Special Leave

Exam Schedule

The UPTET will take place over three days: July 2, 3, and 4, 2026. The exam will be divided into two shifts: the first shift for primary level candidates from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, and the second shift for upper primary level candidates from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

Exam Format

Conducted in an offline format, the exam will utilize OMR sheets. Candidates will face 150 questions to be completed in 150 minutes, with no negative marking. It is crucial for candidates to prepare all necessary documents and arrive at the exam center punctually to avoid any issues.
