For Sanjay Parmar from the village of Kewadakhedi in Shajapur, securing a government job was merely a stepping stone rather than the ultimate goal. Coming from a farming family, he became a Patwari, yet his childhood dream of wearing a uniform remained alive. The influence of his elder brother, who served in the army, intensified his desire to serve the nation. Observing police officers maintain law and order during his duties as a Patwari further fueled this aspiration. Consequently, he continued to prepare for competitive exams alongside his job.

Challenges Faced on the Path

Sanjay's journey was fraught with challenges. Initially, he faced setbacks in the JEE Advanced exam. Undeterred, he shifted his focus to the MPPSC exams, reaching the interview stage three times but failing to secure a final selection on each occasion. Despite these repeated failures, he remained committed to his studies.

Patwari Role and Unwavering Dream

Currently serving as a Patwari, Sanjay received advice from locals to cease further studies now that he had a government job. However, his ambitions extended beyond this role. He aimed to transition into police service while fulfilling his responsibilities as a Patwari. His brother's military background had already instilled a fascination for uniforms, and witnessing police work up close clarified his goals.

Persistence Despite Setbacks

Sanjay's success story is built on numerous attempts that did not yield results. After his initial failure in JEE Advanced, he dedicated himself to MPPSC preparation. Although he reached the interview stage three times, he consistently fell short of making it to the final list. Nevertheless, he refused to let these setbacks deter his preparation for the SI recruitment exam, adopting a fresh approach.

Balancing Duty and Study

Juggling his responsibilities as a Patwari with exam preparation was no easy feat. Sanjay organized his schedule to allocate four to five hours daily for studying. He dedicated time in the mornings before duty and evenings after work to immerse himself in his books. He consciously distanced himself from social media, unnecessary conversations, and leisure activities.

Achieving Top Merit with 595.98 Marks

When the final results for the MP Police SI and Subedar recruitment exams were announced, Sanjay's hard work paid off. He achieved an impressive score of 595.98, securing the top position in the state merit list. The recruitment process was for 500 positions, with 5,113 candidates qualifying for the next stage after the written exam. Following physical efficiency tests and interviews, the final merit list was prepared, resulting in the selection of 436 candidates, while 64 positions remained unfilled.
