PSEB 8th Result 2023 Declared At pseb.ac.in, Lovepreet Kaur Tops Exam

On April 28 at 2:30 pm, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) announced the Class 8 results for the year 2023.
 

On April 28 at 2:30 pm, the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) announced the Class 8 results for the year 2023. Out of the 298127 candidates who appeared for the exam, 292206 candidates managed to pass, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 98.01%. Students who took the Class 8 board exams in the state can view the results on the official PSEB website at pseb.ac.in. Punjab Board vice-chairman Virinder Bhatia declared the results via a press conference. This year, the pass percentage for girls was 98.68% and for boys, it was 97.41%.

The PSEB also released the list of Class 8 toppers along with the results. Lovepreet Kaur from Mansa district secured the first position, Gurankit Kaur from Mansa district secured the second position, and Simranpreet Kaur secured the third position. The pass percentage of government schools was 97.88%, non-government schools was 99.12%, and aided schools was 94.44%.

To check the result, students must follow the given

  • steps: go to the PSEB official website,
  • click on the Punjab Class 8th result link on the homepage
  • enter the roll number or other credentials needed, submit the details, and
  • the PSEB Class 8th result 2023 will appear on the screen.

Students can download and take a printout of the Class 8th result 2023 for future reference.

Compared to last year, the pass percentage of Class 8 has decreased. In 2022, a total of 3,07,942 students registered for the exam, out of which 3,02,558 passed, resulting in a pass percentage of 98.25%. The pass percentage for girls was 98.70%, whereas for boys it was 97.86%.

The Class 8 exam was conducted from February 25 to March 22. The result available on the official website will be provisional, and the official PSEB Class 8th mark sheet or scorecard will be provided by the schools after a few days.
