NEET UG 2026: NTA Releases Scanned OMR Sheets and Response Records
Overview of NEET UG 2026 OMR Sheet Release
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has made available the scanned OMR answer sheets and recorded responses for the NEET UG 2026 examination. This announcement comes as a significant relief for the numerous candidates who participated in the medical entrance test.
Candidate Access and Objection Process
Candidates can now verify their marked answers against the recorded responses. If any discrepancies are found, they have the opportunity to submit an online objection within the designated timeframe.
This service is accessible through the official NTA website, neet.nta.nic.in. Additionally, candidates will receive their scanned OMR sheets via email for convenient access. To ensure security, the NTA has introduced OTP-based two-factor authentication, requiring candidates to confirm their identity with an OTP sent to their registered mobile or email.
Objection Submission Timeline
Deadline for Objections: July 15
The window for challenging recorded responses opened on July 13, 2026, and will remain open until July 15, 2026. A fee of ₹200 is required for each question challenged, payable online through debit or credit cards, or net banking. Challenges submitted after the deadline or without payment will not be accepted. It's important to note that this process is limited to issues regarding the OMR sheets and recorded responses; objections related to the answer key are no longer being accepted.
Exam Background and Candidate Participation
The original NEET UG 2026 exam took place on May 3, 2026, but was later cancelled. A re-examination was conducted on June 21, 2026, with over 20 lakh candidates participating. Following the release of the OMR sheets, candidates are now eagerly awaiting the final results.
