The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) has released the results for the Class 10 SSLC exams. According to the KSEEB data, this year's pass percentage is 83.89%, with 7,00,619 out of the 8,35,102 students who appeared for the exams passing. Students can check their results on the official websites, kseab.karnataka.gov.in and karresults.nic.in.

Compared to last year's 85.63% pass percentage, this year's pass percentage has slightly decreased. However, it is still higher than the past decade's average pass percentage, excluding the exceptional 99.99% pass percentage in 2021 due to the pandemic.

Out of the total number of students who passed the SSLC exams this year, boys recorded a pass percentage of 80%, while girls outperformed them with a pass percentage of 87%. Only four students managed to score 625/625, which is a significant drop from last year's 145 students with a perfect score.

Chitradurga, Mandya, and Hassan were the top-performing areas with 96.8%, 96.7%, and 96.6% pass percentages, respectively. In addition, 1517 government schools recorded a 100% pass percentage, which is an improvement from the 1462 schools in 2022. However, 11 aided schools recorded a zero percent pass percentage, while 482 aided schools recorded a 100% pass percentage. Furthermore, 1824 unaided schools recorded a 100% pass percentage, while 23 unaided schools recorded a zero percent pass percentage.

The rural area students outperformed the urban area students, with an overall pass percentage of 87% compared to the urban area students' 79.62% pass percentage. Additionally, this year, 10% grace marks were given to students, compared to last year's 5% grace marks, benefiting a total of 59,246 students.

To pass the Class 10 exam, a candidate must score a minimum of 35% in each subject and overall. Students have also received grades in addition to marks for their SSLC scores. For students who did not score the minimum necessary marks to receive the Karnataka Secondary School Certificate, the Karnataka Board Class 10 Compartment Exam 2023 will be an option.
