Concerns Raised Over Examination Integrity
Serious concerns have emerged regarding the integrity of the examination process in Muzaffarnagar after ₹500 notes were found affixed to various answer sheets sent for evaluation to different districts. In response to this alarming situation, the Board has initiated an inquiry. The examination center in-charge and the principals of the schools whose students' answer sheets contained the money have been called in for questioning.

Over 100 Answer Sheets Involved
The compartment and improvement exams for High School (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) were held in July at the Government Inter College (GIC) in Muzaffarnagar, with around 700 students participating. After the exams, when the answer sheets were evaluated in another district, it was discovered that currency notes were attached to them. Reports indicate that more than 100 answer sheets, linked to 12 students, contained ₹500 notes, raising suspicions of malpractice, which were subsequently reported to the Board of Secondary Education in Prayagraj.
Allegations of Cheating
Hearing Conducted for School Principals
Due to the seriousness of the allegations, the examination center in-charge and the principals of the implicated schools were summoned for a hearing at the Regional Secretary's office in Meerut. During the hearing on Tuesday, statements from all 12 principals, including Subhash Chandra, the principal of GIC Muzaffarnagar, were recorded. The Regional Secretary, Jyoti Prasad, expressed dissatisfaction with the principals during the proceedings, and concerns regarding potential mass cheating were raised. A report has been submitted to higher authorities for further action.
