GSEB HSC Result 2023: 73.27% students pass General stream, result link here
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB), Gandhinagar, recently announced the results for the class 12 Arts and Commerce streams on May 31. This year, the GSEB 2023 HSC results showed an overall pass percentage of 73.27 percent in the general streams, which include Arts and Commerce. This marks a significant decline from last year's overall pass rate of 86.91 percent. Out of the 4,77,392 students who appeared for the class 12 HSC general exams, 3,49,792 students successfully cleared the exams.
In the Class 12 Commerce results, girls outperformed boys, with an overall pass rate of 80.39 percent compared to the boys' pass rate of 67.03 percent. In the Class 12 general examinations 2023 conducted by the Gujarat Board, the grading distribution was as follows: 1,875 students received grades A1, 52,291 received grades B1, 83,596 received grades B2, 1,01,797 received grades C1, 77,043 received grades C2, and 12,020 received grades D. In the general stream, a total of 311 schools reported 100 percent results, which is a decrease from last year's figure of 1,064. On the other hand, 44 schools received results of under 10 percent, compared to only one school with such a result last year.
Students who appeared for the Gujarat Board 12th examinations can check their HSC marks on gseb.org. Additionally, they can also access the results through SMS and the Digilocker app. Approximately 1,06,347 students out of the approximately 1.07 lakh students who enrolled took the Gujarat HSC 12th board examinations this year. The exams were held from March 14 to March 31, with the practical tests taking place from February 20 to February 28.
In regards to the science stream, the GSEB had previously announced the results on May 2. This year, the pass rates for English medium and Gujarati medium students were 67.18 percent and 65.32 percent, respectively. The overall pass rate in 2022 was 86.91 percent. The pass rate for boys was 84.67 percent, while the pass rate for girls was 89.23 percent. Compared to the pass rate of 71.9 percent in 2019, the pass rate for science stream students dropped to 65.58 percent this year.
