A significant update has emerged regarding the recruitment process for UP Home Guards. The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPBPB) has announced that the release of admit cards for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will not occur today as initially planned. Instead, candidates can expect to download their admit cards starting September 10, 2026.

Reason for the Rescheduling

The UP Police Department has cited continuous rainfall in the state as the reason for this change. They stated, "In the interest of candidate safety, convenience, and ensuring a fair examination process, the schedule for the Physical Efficiency Test, originally set for September 8, 2026, has been adjusted. The PET will now commence on September 14, 2026."

Additionally, the date for admit card release has also been modified from September 7 to September 10.

Physical Efficiency Test Running Requirements

During the PET, male candidates are required to complete a 4.8-kilometer run within 28 minutes, while female candidates must finish a 2.4-kilometer run within 16 minutes. Those who do not meet these running requirements will not be considered for the final merit list.
